Zantrex 3 Unraveled

Fat burning power

zantrex3-logoAt the launch of Zantrex 3, a weight loss supplement, the parent company Zoller Laboratories left no stone unturned in announcing that it was the first product of its kind that did not contain ephedra. It also went a step ahead to claim that to make for the absence of ephedra, other natural weight loss supplements had been included in this diet pill and owing to their cumulative action, it was several times more effective than any ephedra-based weight loss supplement. However, a closer look revealed a story that was far from these claims and even exposed the harmful side effects that were observed courtesy of continued intake of Zantrex 3.

Whenever there is a new product on the horizon, the first step that is taken to check upon it entails visiting the website of the manufacturing company and verifying its authenticity. Unfortunately the official website of Zantrex 3 fails to live up to any curious visitor’s expectation since it does not provide any details that would give a detailed insight into the product, especially in terms of its ingredients. Therefore, the only way of knowing this diet pill inside out entails reading the list of ingredients on its bottle’s label.

As it turned out, the ‘YGD’ formula that Zantrex 3 was based on turned out to be an acronym wherein ‘Y’ is representative of Yerba Mate, ‘G’ stands for Guarana and ‘D’ is for Damiana. Of these three ingredients, Yerba Mate and Guarana contain caffeine in high concentration while Damiana is supposed to be an aphrodisiac, although so far it has been tested only on mice. Amongst the other ingredients, namely extracts of green tea and kola and trimethylxanthine, it was once again caffeine that emerged as the dominant constituent.

One fact that emerged from the study of the list of ingredients is that Zantrex 3 is loaded to the hilt with caffeine, the amount per pill being equivalent to three cups of coffee. Consuming caffeine in such high quantities is definitely not recommended because it leads to several side effects, most of which are undesirable in terms of health as also finances.

Excessive intake of caffeine usually leads to insomnia and this could easily aggravate into a feeling of nervousness, restlessness and jitters. Caffeine has also been known to cause addiction which implies that a person who consumes Zantrex 3 for an extended duration may well get addicted to it. In such a situation, discontinuation of this diet pill will lead to severe health problems like nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

Instructions that come with the pill recommend that Zantrex 3 should be taken 15 minutes prior to the meal and swallowed with 8 ounces of water in order to provide positive results. However, this leads to increased urination partly due to water intake and partly due to the presence of caffeine in high quantities within the body. Another possibility is that of liver failure and this has been attributed to the presence of alkaloids in the chemical structure of this diet pill.

Externally, side effects of Zantrex 3 can be manifested in form of eczema, discoloration of teeth and sensitivity to sun. Niacin, another one of its ingredients, can lead to rashes on the skin although this has been described as an initial reaction which wears off after a certain duration. Internal damage, however, is much more severe and long term because it often involves the heart and thyroid gland.

Continued intake of Zantrex 3 causes the heart to beat faster which in turn could lead to palpitations and high blood pressure. Some Zantrex 3 reviews have also mentioned goiter wherein an ingredient of Zantrex 3 named Maca root causes the thyroid gland to grow till it reaches a point wherein it is enlarged beyond imagination.

Overall, there are other ways of losing weight that are a lot less damaging internally and externally than Zantrex 3 and hence should be considered before resorting to this diet pill.
